Good news... I'm still alive.
Today was the last 3 mile run of the week. I did fine except for the fact that a part of my leg (right above my calf muscle, but right under my knee) hurt. I felt it the whole run. I made sure to stretch before and after. I suppose it is just my legs not being used to the intense running that I have been doing so far. The good news is that I get to rest tomorrow, so hopefully that will give my body time to rest up.
I spoke to a good friend of my, shout-out to Jackie Venditti, and she was telling me about the half-marathon she is going to be training for. Hers is in Florida in February somewhere around Orlando... I would love to run in Florida in the "winter". I imagine the conditions are great for running. Not too hot, nor too cold.
I should probably start looking into a marathon so that I actually have a marathon to train for, instead of just training to run one. I am supposed to run 6 miles on Saturday, which will be the most I have ever run at one time. I am both nervous that I won’t make it, but also looking forward to the challenge. I normally workout after my run, but I think I will just run and then be done so that I don't over do it to my body. Thanks for reading… if you are :D
Until the next run,
cody!
